PSL 7: Fourth consecutive defeat to Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi wins

Lahore: (Web Desk) In Pakistan Super League (PSL) Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings, the team of Shar-e-Quaid suffered its fourth consecutive defeat during the event.

In the eleventh match of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Karachi Kings captain Babar Azam won the toss and invited Peshawar Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz to bat.

Karachi Kings batting:

Sharjeel Khan and Babar Azam started the innings for Karachi Kings in pursuit of the target, however, in the first over, Shoaib Malik sent the left-handed batsman to the pavilion. Sahibzada Farhan also got out on the total score of 3, Mohammad Omar got the wicket.

Usman Qadir ended Ann Cockbin’s innings, leaving the crease with 31 runs off 19 balls. Muhammad Nabi’s innings ended at 10, Hussain Talat took the wicket.

Amir Yameen was dismissed for 20 runs, Emad Wasim was dismissed for zero. The Kings scored 164 runs in the allotted overs. Captain Babar Azam played a not out innings of 90 runs but could not give victory to the team. Young fast bowler Mohammad Omar took 3 wickets, Shoaib Malik and Hussain Talat took one wicket each.

Peshawar Zalmai batting:

Earlier, wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal and Hazratullah Zazai from Afghanistan started the innings for Peshawar Zalmai.

Both the batsmen played responsible innings and played beautiful shorts around the wicket. However, on the last ball of the 6th over, Hazratullah Zazai scored 41 off 27 balls and became the target of Ameed Asif. Kamran Akmal scored 74 runs. The innings ended, he scored 21 off 19 balls.

Haider Ali’s innings ended at 16, with Amir Yameen taking the wicket. Ben Cutting’s innings was limited to 24 runs, Ameed Asif sent the player to the pavilion with the help of Sharjeel Khan.

Meanwhile, Shoaib Malik batted responsibly and played a not out innings of 52 runs. Peshawar Zalmi has scored 173 runs in the stipulated overs. Ameed Asif 3 and Amir Yameen took one wicket each.
